3. Eligibility requirements (target groups)
The applicant must meet the following conditions:
- Legal status: To be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person protected under Canadian law.
- Academic status: To already hold a Master’s or PhD scholarship from one of the three entities (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC).
- Exchange rule: If the researcher is in Canada, the travel must be outside of Canada . If they are studying abroad (for a PhD), the research travel must be to Canada.
